# Cookies Notice

The calculator works in your browser and keeps nothing once you close the page. The only cookie is your sign-in, and only if you sign in:

-   `__Secure-better-auth.session_token`, set by api.checktakehomepay.co.uk when you sign in: it keeps you signed in to your dashboard, for up to 7 days after you last use it, or until you sign out. It is strictly necessary for signing in, so it needs no consent, and it is never used to track you.

The site also keeps a few things in your browser's own storage, each needed for something you do or for knowing where visitors come from, and none shared with anyone else:

-   `cthp.first_touch` (local storage): the page you arrived on, the site that sent you and any campaign tags in the link. It is sent to us only if you create an account.
-   `cthp.claim` (session storage): an AI agent's claim link while you sign in to claim its account, until you close the tab.

We count visits and clicks with PostHog (in the EU), through our own address. It keeps nothing on your device: no cookie and no stored id, so a new page load is a new visitor to it. It never records what you type, or your screen.

Clearing this site's and the API's data in your browser removes everything above, and signs you out.
